Girl Power 1, Solar Power 0

Coming up to a week at sea, the Row For Freedom crew are beginning to get into the swing of their individual ocean-going routines.
Sea sickness is taking its toll but the girls are in high spirits and are determined to push on to clock up the miles.
The weekend saw overcast weather on both Saturday and Sunday. This has given the girls a pleasant break from the high temperatures they were experiencing last week.
Unfortunately, the cloudy sky hasn’t helped the power situation onboard The Guardian. They are managing for now, however, the batteries on board are recharged by the solar panels on the roof of the cabin.
Having power is key to filtering water and charging the satellite navigation system. As a result, the team have had to cut back on their power usage, meaning less cups of tea all round!
Clear skies are forecast for the week ahead, so hopefully the power supply will be back to normal soon. Fingers crossed that the extra caffine will help fuel the girls up the race order!
