Debbie’s Voiceblog on Day One
After a successful first day at sea, the Row For Freedom team are already making fantastic progress.
With fairer winds coming in from the south, the conditions across the Atlantic are constantly changing. As a result, the crew have made the most of this new weather window and have decided to head west from La Gomera passing El Hierro, the most westerly of the Canary Islands.
This new route puts the Row For Freedom team and their boat, The Guardian, in good stead and they are already in 12th place of the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge.
Skipper Debbie Beadle left her first voiceblog of the challenge and tells us all about the teams first night at sea.
