Anti Slavery Day on the Thames with Sir Matthew Pinsent

On 18th October, the Row For Freedom team came together to highlight Anti Slavery Day. The team rowed The Guardian down the Thames from Westminster alongside a boat of MP's. Together they arrived at Westminster Boating Base where four times Olympic gold medalist Matthew Pinsent named the boat. Once the boat officially received her name 'The Guardian sponsored by Manpowergroup' the Row For Freedom team and ECPATUK handed over their report which calls on the UK Government to provide a system of guardianship. Some of the child victims of trafficking which team rower Debbie works with attended the event.

'It was such a lovely atmosphere all day It was extra special for me being part of the team, but also seeing the young people speaking about what is important to them and why having a guardian would have helped them. Having Sir Matthew Pinsent name our boat was such an honour. The day couldn't have been better!'
